Career Planning Students in our program work with our staff to plan the education they need for their educational and vocational future. Planning begins with the student's first day of classes. We also provide personal counseling and referral.
Computer Lab Computer classes are FREE for all ALP students. In our 10-station computer lab, students learn basic word processing skills and how to use the Internet.
PEN Program PEN American Center, a non-profit incorporation, is an affiliate of International PEN, an association of writers --poets, playwrights, essayists, editors and novelists --with centers in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe. Through their Readers and Writers Program, PEN hosts readings at institutions with limited access to writers and literary events. They give priority to sites with populations that have been traditionally under-exposed to the arts and cultural programming. This year, the ALP was visited by author Suzanne Fisher Staples, novelist Gish Jen and poet Kate Rushin. Adult Learning Program 144
